As a consequence, the investment has been reclassified from an associate to a subsidiary, as the Company no longer only exercises significant influence but now has a controlling interest.
Following this reclassification, Management has decided to change the measurement basis of the investment from measurement at equity method to costs, which is the appropriate accounting treatment for subsidiaries in the parent company financial statements. Management considers the revised classification and measurement to appropriately reflect the nature of the Company’s involvement and to provide a fair presentation of the Company’s financial position.
